San Jose, Costa Rica (SANEPR.com) April 21, 2008 -- The month of April has been a roller coaster ride for online poker players in Washington, D.C., where bills in Congress would undo the harm inflicted by the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA), which was passed back in 2006 by a Republican regime. Congressman Robert Wexler (D-FL) is at the forefront of the fight for online poker players and has introduced HR 2610, the Skill Game Protection Act. The bill would exempt poker, bridge, mah jong, and other games of skill from the UIGEA and Wire Act of 1961, providing immediate relief for online poker players. Wexler joined the PocketFives.com Podcast to explain his bill and analyze recent industry events.
